Have you ever dreamed of working with clients like Fortune 1000 corporations, big institutions or government agencies? Did you immediately reject it because you had no idea where to start? It can be super fun to step back and imagine growing your company. Often business owners forget to envision their dream business. Or they cut themselves off from possibility because of a story, that they aren’t experienced enough or it’s too much effort. What if it’s not?

Did you set a theme and focus for your business for 2017?
Take a moment to envision your ideal business AND how it integrates with your whole life. Typically there are 5 categories to people’s lives: health, relationships, vocation, time/money and spirituality. Your business is your vocation. How does it fit in with the rest of your life? Describe your idyllic lifestyle. Define as many details as possible, feel it, smell it, hear it. Write some notes include the following areas:
Health Practices – Relationships – Business – Time / Money – Spirituality
Once you have an idea of how your business supports your life, go deeper into your company. Envision your dream business. It’s okay to visualize clients like banks, technology firms, national chains as big as you can imagine. Here are the areas to consider:

What kind of a business leader would you like to be?

Describe your ideal clients

Describe your vendors and service providers

Describe your business financials
You have now taken an important step. Do you feel energized? If so you are on the right track. If you feel overwhelmed, notice if this is your dream or what you think you should be doing. Refine your vision, until you feel light. Next define an action to take towards your dream. When you act, desires and intentions take form. If you can dream it, you can create the reality, stay focused, and act.
